Figures from the West Midlands Cancer Intelligence Unit indicate that 2000 men and 1500 women are diagnosed with bowel cancer in the West Midlands each year.
Common symptoms can include:
•Changes in bowel habit particularly diarrhoea
•Bleeding from the bowel
•Abdominal pain
•Abdominals lump or masses
•Unexplained anaemia
•Unexplained weight loss
